Parents needs help with health insurance, therapy programs, utilities, etc....

in response to CATLUV...   He's getting SSDI. I just helped them apply for food assistance. There's a program here called LIHEAP that helps pay utilities but our parish is out of funds until September. :( So my dad could get Medicare & Medicaid?

Parents needs help with health insurance, therapy programs, utilities, etc....

I'm new to this, but my family is so desperate I am trying anything to help my parents out. I am looking for help for my parents. My daddy was the one who was "bringing home the bacon" for as long as I can remember.
Last summer, my daddy's heart stopped after having about 15 consecutive seizures. Long story made short, he survived with a pacemaker & has been diagnosed with a form of hypoxic brain injury. Not only could he not perform any basic tasks, but he didn't recognize any of his family. Daddy was involved in physical, speech, & occupational rehab until he lost his job because he was unable to return to work. He is a little better now but still needs lots of therapy, as he has regressed greatly without it. Does anyone know of any programs that will pay for therapy for a retired and disabled veteran?
Also, my mother is unable to work more than 8 hours a week due to her own health conditions. Since the "incident", my parents have had to file bankruptcy. Even after filing, they are still unable to pay a good majority of their bills. My questions is, Is there any type of assistance program that will be able to help them out? My mama has asked me to give her money, but as a mother of 3 of my own children, I just don't have it. They need help mostly with utilities, health insurance, and medical bills.
My mother is 57 years old and still working part-time. My daddy is 64, retired, disabled, and a veteran. Any help would be greatly appreciated! My parents worked hard their whole lives and watching them lose what they've worked for is breaking my heart.
